Dr. Benjamin Gross is a seasoned education professional, with over 20 years experience teaching. Ben started tutoring in high school, and during his college years, he taught physics to undergraduate students. In 2015 he opened his full time tutoring practice and specializes in supporting gifted students with a passion for math and science in reaching their full potential.
He has a degree in math from Binghamton University and a PhD in physics from USC, where he studied bacteria that make electricity. (Despite once stabbing himself in the thumb with a syringe full of electric bacteria, he has yet to develop superpowers.)
Ben is passionate about encouraging students to develop a love for learning and discovery, through his unique ability to bring humor and levity to the classroom while successfully engaging students in complex mathematical concepts.
When not in his virtual classroom, Ben spends his time with his wife Anahit and their son Julian in Southern California. In his free time you can find him playing guitar or performing the occasional magic trick.
